Apple has publicly acknowledged that a small portion of the batteries in the new iPhone 5S are defective and need replacing.
Samsung has just announced that a portion of their Galaxy S4 models suffer from a battery defect, and now it is the turn of Apple, there to The New York Times has told, that iPhone 5S also have problems with the battery.
Apple Express, however, that it is only a “small” part of the batteries in iPhone 5S that can give longer charging time and shorter battery life.
-“We recently discovered a manufacturing issue affecting a very limited number of iPhone devices that could cause the battery 5S to take longer two charge or result in reduced battery life,” says Teresa Brewer, who is spokeswoman for Apple.
Apple has already set in motion a process to ensure the replacement of the defective batteries:
-“We are reaching out two customers with affected phones and will provide them with a replacement phone“.
If the problem is narrowed down to individual countries, or is a worldwide problem, reported nothing about from Apple.
