Do screen captures is a standard feature on iPhones, Android smartphones, Windows Phones and even Blackberries, but for some reason is not very intuitive. Images allow you to share the screen of your mobile phone with your friends, documenting technical problems to the technical support of the company, and even make a guide step by step easy to follow for any application. Here are some ways of how to do the screen capture in different devices.
Screenshot on iPhone
To capture the current screen of your iPhone, simply hold down the Home button and Sleep/Wake (On/Off or on/off) at the same time. On an iPhone running 2.0 system, your screen will flash white. On devices that run iOS 2.1 and higher, there will also be an effect of the camera shutter sound. To access the images, just go to the photos app. The process to capture the screen on your iPhone is virtually the same for your iPad and iPod.
There are also free apps in the iTunes store that can do the screen capture for you with ease.
Screenshot on Android Phones
On an Android phone running 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), keep the volume down buttons and the tight power button at the same time. The screen will Flash and you will hear a sound effect. If you look at your notification bar, you should also see an image icon. You will be alerted when the image was saved successfully. Very easy, right? If you are on a phone running Jelly Bean (4.1) or later, you can see a preview of the screen shot, pulling down your notifications. Your image can now be found in a new folder in the app Gallery.
As with the iPhone, there are apps in the Store Play which allow the screenshot including gestures. Including, such gestures are patterns in some phones. For example, the Samsung phones do the screen capture when you spend your whole hand “sweeping” the screen. This behavior you can see in the video below.
Screenshot Blackberry Devices
Unlike the iPhone and Android phones, Blackberry, unfortunately, does not have a built-in screen capture function. However, a third-party application called Capture It will cause you don’t feel left out. Just open www.captureitota.com with the phone’s browser, scroll down and click on Download.
Install the application and go to phone options. Then, navigate to managing applications (Applications, if your operating system is the oldest BlackBerry 6). Find the Capture It, press the Menu button, select Edit permissions, and then change all permissions to allow. May have other applications in the Blackberry shop, it only takes one search to find them.
Now all you need to do to take screenshots is select Capture It by pressing the Menu button and scroll down to the option. He’s not as convenient as an Android or iPhone, but it works.
Screenshot on Windows Phone Devices
See something interesting on your Windows Phone that you want to take a screenshot? Whether it’s a text exchange with a friend, an unbelievable score in a game you just played or something like that, you can have a picture of her. Images are saved in the Pictures Hub and are easy to share.
8.1 on Windows Phone, simply press the Connect buttons and Volume at the same time to take a picture of the screen. These are automatically saved in the album Images in the pictures Hub. To take a screenshot on Windows Phone 8, press and hold the Start button and switch on at the same time.
