With the Band joins Microsoft itself into the fray to adorn your wrist. With the Band, you can keep a close eye on your training and everyday life.
It is rumored a long time that Microsoft would not remain passive on wearable-scene. With Band featuring Microsoft in with a product that places one of the interesting niche between simple fitness trackers and Thoroughbred-smartwatches.
The band reminds most of so-called smart-bands, but a larger screen, and nothing less than 10 sensors provide access to more advanced features. In the Band you will find, among other things, heart rate monitoring, monitoring of stress levels, UV index, but also smart features like notifications and calendar and email previews.
The watch comes in three sizes, all of which share a 1.4 “touch-screen with 310×102 resolution. The bracelet is designed to resist dust and water, however, without being decidedly waterproof.
The screen, and the many sensors, is driven by two 100 mAh batteries which, according to Microsoft, can keep the Band walking for up to 48 hours.

The bracelet are not limited to Microsoft’s own Windows platform, but can communicate, via Bluetooh 4.0 LE, with Windows Health app on both the Windows Phone, Android and iOS.
Microsoft opens in addition Health platform and already has partnerships with Jawbone UP, RunKeeper, MapMyFitness and MyFitnessPal.
Microsoft Band gets debut d. 30 October in the United States for 199 USD, or roughly 1200.0-DKK before taxes and customs. There is yet no information about Danish launch date or price.
