The first and much-anticipated smartwatch from HTC shows up for the first time, after a series of images have been leaked.
HTC has been underway with a smartwatch in long-really long time even. Now shows the first real pictures of the upcoming HTC-smartwatch.
The idea of a smartwatch from HTC dating back to February 2014, where from HTC’s then-Chairman-now Director-Cher Wang sounded that a smartwatch from manufacturer would become a reality around Christmas 2014.
In the following months there was doubt as to whether HTC had dropped agency or not, but the Taiwanese manufacturer made it clear that it was still plan to launch it. The clock, however, was postponed to the beginning of 2015.
The months went by, and there was still no clock from HTC. As seen so many times before, the well-known Twitter tipster evleaks, however, suddenly published new information about the clock. Agency would allegedly have been launched way back in February, under the brand name ‘ One ‘, but it came to pass, as we know, either.
New collaboration with tøjgiganten Under Armour
Since then, there has been silence, but now shows the first real photos up. It is a user on the Chinese social media Weibo, which over several postings have shared 8 photos of the upcoming HTC clock. On these is seen it is clear that HTC rates on a round clock like many of its competitors. Agency saves on two buttons on the watch case and consists of a black metal design that takes itself quite minimalist.
The included watch strap is made of rubber with black and red colors. Like other smartwatches can belt out by with an easy click mechanism. A look under the Agency reveals that the Agency certainly is from HTC, but that it is also designed in collaboration with tøjgiganten Under Armour as the former HTC product UA HealthBox. There’s also room for a heart rate monitor and four magnetic contact plugs, so the clock can easily be recharged with a supplied dock.
On the software side running HTC’s smartwatch with Google’s Android operating system, where the Wear is seen running with the first version of Android Wear based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. However, it may very well be early and yet not running software.
It remains to be seen, when HTC Launches Agency and at what price. On the other hand, you can look forward to the following specifications if the original information is still correct:
- 1.8 “screen
- ST Micro 32L151 Cortex-M3 processor
- 3 day battery life
- MIL-STD-810-categorization (requirements for durability)
