Smart Clock. Worth Having A Smart Watch?

As with plug-in electric cars and 3D printers, smartwatches are still looking for its place and here are a few reasons why I’m not falling for all the emphasis given to these devices and, if you’re smart.

And Your Other Watch?

Here’s the thing: most of us already have at least one clock in which we spend some money and we like to use. It really is a major industry, in case you didn’t know. What are you going to do, use one in each arm? You’ll look ridiculous.

What’s the Point, After All, A Smartwatch Clock?

Well, maybe if you had some James Bond spy functions as a garrote or fire small darts explosives, would be nice. I’m going to have to think about it, while they develop such options for the smartwatches.

They are Too Complicated

Apple is the most valuable technology company because their products work. They just are simple with ease of use in an integrated manner, straight out of the box. For a smartwatch clock do something nice, it has to be paired with a smartphone or a tablet. This is very complicated. Still, he has a tiny screen with limited capacity. Nine times in 10 you’ll get frustrated and just use your phone in place. Is the easiest way.

An Item for Your Better Health?

Is same? I am a runner. I have a pair of running shoes, shorts and socks. I don’t need to know how far I run or how many calories I burn. I know I’m in shape because my clothes fit. Funny that the more things we bought fitness, fatter we become. If everyone stop trying to be so smart and just go out and do something, there would be no epidemic of obesity. Maybe a heart monitor I’d buy, but other than that, nothing else.

What is the Killer App?

Each smart gadget you own must have at least one killer application. That’s why you invested money to buy it. That’s why if you leave home without it you have a panic attack. You have to have it. For this to be true of a SmartWatch clock, he has to be able to have at least an app killer, like voice-to-text or hands-free navigation, all the time, and not just with limited capacity and paired with your phone.

May Conflict with Your Glasses

It wouldn’t be a real bummer if Google Glass became the next big thing? All the cool people are going around flaunting these high-tech glasses and you are stuck with a wristwatch for the future that there is nothing you can do on your own?

What I Want Doesn’t Exist Yet

Look, I know what a great product when I see one. I know that the iPhone and the iPad have been killers when released. I don’t know what a smartwatch clock may soon be something big. We just have to wait and see.

This is Exactly What We Need?

We all complain about information overload, having to be on pace for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and don’t have time to do anything. We are all hopelessly addicted to the distraction and attention we received from our smartphones, iPads, Twitter, Facebook, and all the apps. That’s really what we all need, another clever gadget, just like an alcoholic needs a bottle of Scotch?

The more I think about it, maybe I just ignore the whole thing to wear the gadgets and go straight thinking of cybernetic implants. Dreaming doesn’t cost anything, isn’t it? But for now, it’s not worth having a smartwatch clock of this first wave of devices and even a cybernetic implant.
