Bhutan: Political System
According to EQUZHOU.NET, Bhutan is a kingdom. From 1972 to 2006 the 4th King Jigme Singye Wangchuck (born 1955) rules. On December 9, 2006, his son Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck (born 1980) took over the royal dignity as the fifth king of the Wangchuk dynasty – which has ruled the country since 1907 . The National Assembly (Tshogdu) has 150 members, 105 of whom are elected representatives, ten representatives of the religious communities and 35 representatives appointed by the king. National anthem
The national anthem of a country is usually a piece of music underlaid with a text, which is intended to express the state, attitude to life or national feeling of a country. It is mostly played on particularly festive occasions, such as state visits, special holidays or to honor politicians, business leaders, etc. National anthem of the respective winning country for performance.
Based on flag descriptions by Countryaah.com, the national anthem of Bhutan was written by Gyaldun Dasho Thinley Dorji and set to music by Aku Tongmi. It became the country’s official anthem in 1953.

Politicians and rulers
- Ugyen Wangchuk (1861-1926)From 1907 to 1926 Ugyen Wangchuk was the first king (= Druk Gyalpo) of Bhutan. Even under his rule, the gradual reform process that Bhutan so needed began.
- Jigme Wangchuk (1906-1952)was King of Bhutan from 1926-1952.
- Jigme Dorje Wangchuck (1929-1972)This king succeeded his father Jigme Wangchuck in 1952 as the Druk Gyalpo of Bhutan. The time of his kingship is considered to be the time of the modernization of Bhutan: He had the parliament (Tshogdu) created, the free school system introduced, Bhutan became a member of the UN and his country’s infrastructure was improved.
