According to watchtutorials, Malaysia is a diverse country with a population of about 31 million. It is the 43rd most populous country in the world. The population is mainly made up of Malays, Chinese, and Indians, with other ethnic groups such as Eurasians and indigenous people making up the rest. Malays form the majority of the population at around 50.4%, followed by Chinese at 22.6%, Indians at 7.3%, and other ethnic groups at 19.7%. The largest city in Malaysia is Kuala Lumpur, which has a population of about 1.8 million people and is home to almost 25% of Malaysia’s total population. The official language spoken in Malaysia is Malay, although English is also widely spoken as it has been adopted as an official language for business purposes. Islam is the predominant religion in Malaysia, with close to 60% of the population being Muslim according to the 2010 census. Buddhism and Christianity are also practiced by significant portions of the population while Hinduism and traditional Chinese religions are practiced by minorities as well.
