According to watchtutorials, Mongolia is a landlocked country located in Central Asia. It is bordered by Russia to the north and China to the south, east and west. The population of Mongolia is estimated at 3.2 million people as of 2020. The majority of the population is ethnically Mongolian, with Kazakhs and Tuvans making up minorities. Most Mongolians live in rural areas and practice traditional nomadic herding or farming lifestyles, although there has been an increasing trend towards urbanization over recent decades. The capital city of Ulaanbaatar is home to almost half of the country’s population, and it has been gradually growing since the end of communism in 1990. In addition to Mongolians, there are also small numbers of other ethnicities living in Mongolia including Russians, Chinese, Koreans and Central Asians. Education levels are relatively high in Mongolia compared to other countries in the region due to a free education system that was implemented during Soviet rule. Literacy rates are above 90%, with primary school enrollment at nearly 100%. Health care is another area where Mongolia has made strides over recent years; however, access to quality health care services remains limited outside of urban areas.
