According to watchtutorials, the population of Serbia is estimated to be around 7 million people. The majority of the population is made up of Serbs, who make up 83.3% of the population. Other ethnic groups include Hungarians (3.5%), Bosniaks (2%), Roma (1.8%) and Montenegrins (1.1%). Serbia also has a significant number of immigrants, mainly from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia and Croatia. The official language is Serbian, with Hungarian being the second most spoken language in Vojvodina province in northern Serbia. Religion wise, the majority of the population are Orthodox Christians followed by Muslims and Roman Catholics making up a smaller percentage of the population. Serbia has a high literacy rate with 97% of adults being literate as well as a high level of education; around 27% have attended university or college level education. In terms of life expectancy at birth for both sexes it stands at 73 years old which is slightly lower than the European average but still relatively healthy for a country in Eastern Europe.
